Wapo

Wapo was born into a world of potent melodies.  His grandparent’s love for classical music travelled a generation till it bounced off the walls of his parent’s house. There, it mingled with the brilliant chaos of Michael Jackson, Whitney Houston, Kenny G, and a myriad of other inherited music, creating a home filled with pleasant sounds and nurturing Wapo's ear for melody.

For Wapo, music is liberation, it’s a conduit for emotions too complex to articulate, it’s sweet release. His foray into making music, for more than just his bathroom mirror, started in 2020, with covers of other artists' songs that were released to small audiences. The validation carried by their ensuing responses stoked an already growing flame.

Wapo’s sound is a perpetual work-in-progress. It’s a genre-hopping portal to the evolving world inside him, inside all of us. It’s his road map for navigating the age-old journey of life and meaning.
